Driving Values

At Nobles Chapel, there are five key, driving values that drive us to be who we are.  We believe that these five values are things God calls us to do as a church and in our individual lives. They are summed up in the key statements below:

Faith is meant to be shared. (Evangelism)

Regardless of how you define it, God commands that we do it.  You are not fully following God if you are not sharing your faith. See John 1:43-51

Serve God by serving others. (Serving)

Our faith requires action.  We have to live it out.  In a world where Christians are known more for what we’re speaking out against, it is imperative that we break that mold and show people what we’re for.  Words often say what we’re against, but service shows what we’re for.  See Matthew 25:31-40 & James 2:14-17

Life is better together. (Community)

You need community.  The people of God have to live in community to live a productive and meaningful life.  In fact, in Scripture whenever someone walked away from the people of God, they ended up walking away from God. Intentional community provides a network we need to effectively grow our faith.  See Hebrews 10:23-25

You can't out give God. (Giving)

Giving is about a lifestyle and what that lifestyle indicates about us and what we believe about God. When we trust that God has provided what we need when we need it, we'll trust that he will provide what we need when we need it.  See Malachi 3:8-12

Growing requires changing. (Discipleship)

Discipleship isn't a program, it's a process. God wants us to grow in our faith.  In order to grow, we have to be willing to change.  We can't grow if we don't change.  See 1 Corinthians 13:9-12
